little bunny cowl

Hello there today I start my cowl, beanie bunny hat.

This is the beginning.  I started with 5mm circular needles  and teddy yarn. 

Having twin boys that do not want to wear hats, beanies or cows, I have to come up with animal themes beanies , so that they won't get cold.

Last year we were bears, this year I said I will try a bunny type of beanies  beige yarn this is the yarn I use for this project.
Knitting needles  and here you cam find the bamboo needles set I bought for making hats.

This is how it looks now. I casted on 48 sts, that I have worked in circle. The rows 1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15,17,19 were all stitches knitted .  The rows 2,4,6,8,10 12,14,16,18,20 were worked  all purl. From row 21-30 worked knit in circle.

For the rest of the beanie will update tomorrow 😁💜📣

Coming back to this post is always so rewarding. 

From the Row 31 I started working in rows and I worked row 31 : knitt 4, knitt 2 together,  and after knitt 3 then knitt 2 together till the end of the row.
Row 32: slip first stitch, knitt 4, purl 29,  knitt 5
Row 33 : knitt all 39 stitches. 
Repeat rows  32 and 33 till goody will measure 28 cm from row 31.
  
Cast off , fold goody in half and sew it together.  After this I inserted 91 stitches in the border and knitted for 8 rows in circular way 8 rows  . Cast off and now waiting to see how will the ears look like.
Tomorrow I will come with an update . Stay tooned. 

And here are the ears too. I will add pics with the boys and the hat tomorrow.  For those reading later this pattern I would like to clarify that I write this article while knitting it, that's why I have written it trough a few days😁. 

Now the ears. On the ears I used 2 yarn colors green color and beige color.
So make the ears 2 times for each color.
Cast on 10 stitches. Every ear is knitted using Garter stitch. So either you knitt every row purl either you knit every row is really your decision. Knitt 3 rows than on the 4th row increase one each end , so you will have 12 stitches . Knitt 3 more rows than increase one each edge so you will have 14 stitches.  Knitt 3 rows the 14 stitches than decrease on the 4th row one stitch at each edge so you will have 12. Knitt next stitch than decrease one stitch each edge so you will remain with 10 stitches.  Knitt the 10 stitches on next row. Decrease one stitch at each edge so you remain with 8 stitches. Knitt 26 rows. On the 27th row Knitt 2 together  and cast off the 4 stitches. 
Sew together the 2 different colors and sew them to the hoody.

  How many of you that knitt or crochet or do both, didn't buy yarn just because the color was amazing, or there where on sale at the yarnstore, or for some projects you never started or finished?   Why I ask is because I do it too.😆   So what we can do with all that stash? What can we do when we "hamster buy" yarn?        One thing that helped me to slow down this "hamster buy" is when I see the yarn I start writing down the projects that come in my mind.
